Walker Focuses on Manufacturing During Visit to Menomonee Falls

Governor and state Rep. Don Pridemore tour Du-Well Grinding Saturday.

After a press conference announcing plans to improve the Hoan Bridge in Milwaukee, Governor Scott Walker stopped by Du-Well Grinding, W166N5925 Greenway Cir.,  in Menomonee Falls for a tour of their facilities.

Walker was joined by state Rep. Don Pridemore (R-Hartford), on a guided tour by Gregory Grambow, Du-Well president. Walker and Pridemore met with Grambow privately before the tour, and spoke with workers and viewed machinery in action behind the scenes at Du-Well.

Walker said the state private sector added 13,000 jobs in the first fiscal quarter, of which 8,200 were in the manufacturing field. Both Walker and Grambow spoke of the importance of training a skilled labor force to keep the manufacturing momentum going.
