FBI Seeking Regional Office Location in Falls

The Federal Bureau of Investigation may consider relocating its regional office from Milwaukee to Menomonee Falls in the former Froedtert Health Clinic building.

Menomonee Falls could soon be home to the Milwaukee Federal Bureau of Investigation regional office.

Procacci Development Corporation, based in Boca Raton, FL, has submitted an application with the village to ensure there's a correctly zoned location for new FBI regional office location. The current FBI regional office is currently located on Kilbourn Avenue in Milwaukee. According to an application submitted to the village, the FBI could occupy the former Froedtert Health Clinic at W180N7950 Town Hall Rd. However, the federal government has not yet decided on whether this location would be a final choice.

The interior of the building would be completely renovated to meet the specifications of an FBI facility. The plan also includes construction of a perimeter security fence around the site, two security gates and a covered secure parking area. Additionally, the plans include some open green space and a basketball court within the complex.

Froedtert Health vacated its 43-year-old former building in December when operations moved into a five-story, newly constructed facility across the street at W180N8000 Town Hall Rd.

The Milwaukee regional FBI office specializes in evidence recovery and processing, computer forensics, tactical support and crisis response, bomb recovery and analysis, translation, and hazardous materials. The Milwaukee branch employs a team of special agents in each of those areas.
