Woman Faces Felony After She's Caught Shoplifting

Suspect had heroin in her handbag while stealing from a Menomonee Falls Target.

A 25-year-old Milwaukee woman is facing charges after she got caught shoplifting from a Menomonee Falls store with heroin in her handbag.

Ashley D. Cutler was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of possession of narcotic drugs and one count of retail theft. If convicted, she could face up to four years in prison and $20,000 in fines.

On June 2, Cutler was caught by store security at Target, N95W17707 Shady Lane, for stealing clothes and then coming back to try and refund one of the items. She was detained and after police searched her they found a bindle of heroin in her handbag.

She will make her initial appearance in court Jan. 30.
