Volkswagen Jetta Stolen from Ernie Von Schledorn

Incidents from the Menomonee Falls police reports.

A recent vehicle theft has representatives at Ernie Von Schledorn in Menomonee Falls asking, “who do you know would steal a car?”

Between Jan. 15 and Jan. 23, an unknown person stole a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta from the used car lot at EVS, N88W14167 Main St. A set of keys to the vehicle, which are kept in the used car office, were also missing. The keys to the office are left unlocked and approximately 55 to 60 employees have access to it.

The vehicle has been registered as stolen with the National Crime Information Center.

Also in the reports:

  • Sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Jan. 23, someone slashed the tire of a vehicle parked in the Menomonee Falls High School stadium lot. The parents, who own the vehicle driven by the MFHS student, wish to press charges against the person responsible for the damage.
  • Between 12:30 a.m. and 1:15 a.m., a woman left her purse in a shopping cart at the Woodman’s parking lot and left. On Jan. 21, she retrieved her purse but someone had stolen her social security card.
  • On Jan. 18, a male suspect concealed two bottles of liquor in his pants and left Pick’n Save on County Line Road without paying. A photo was taken and was forwarded to other area Pick’n Save locations.
