Water Rescue Team Takes a Dip at Mill Pond

Training exercise also served as a good opportunity to search for a memorial plaque that went missing several weeks ago.

The Menomonee Falls Fire Department partnered with the Milwaukee Fire Rescue dive team for a training exercise Tuesday morning in Mill Pond Park.

The training exercise served a dual purpose. First, fire fighters got experience on the water dropping an underwater radar device and trolling the water for a target. The dive team also searched for a memorial plaque that went missing after some in the park.

A small crowd gathered to watch the fire fighters train during a sunny day.
