Two men are facing charges after they allegedly broke into a Menomonee Falls business twice in order to steal scrap metal.

On Sept. 18, the two men took a pickup truck to L&K Specialties, N59W14418 Bobolink Ave., where they took a transmission, four differentials, 10 heater cores, 15 radiators, tire rims and other car parts. Surveillance video shows the two men stole the items during two different trips to the business within an hour.

On Oct. 2, a Menomonee Falls police officer was surveying the industrial park where the business is located and saw the truck drive through the area. After 15 minutes, the officer went to go look for the truck and found the two men at the business again filling it up with scrap metal parts.

Both men had business cards for an area recycler in the area, who was able to confirm the suspects had sold scrap metal to them the day after the September break in occurred.

Both men are scheduled to make their initial appearance in court Jan. 16.
