Tosa Man Charged With 4th OWI for Falls Accident
Suspect allegedly had several different prescription pills in his system at the time of the incident.
A 31-year-old Wauwatosa man is facing his fourth operating while intoxicated charge in five years after colliding with another vehicle while driving through Menomonee Falls.
James D. Haller was charged Friday in Waukesha County Circuit Court with one count of fourth offense OWI within five years. If convicted, he faces up to six years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint, on Jan. 14, Haller struck another vehicle on Pilgrim Road near Lisbon Road.

Haller, who appeared heavily intoxicated, told officers he hadn’t been drinking, but was unable to pass a field sobriety test. A blood alcohol level breath test showed he hadn’t been drinking, however, a blood test revealed several prescription drugs in his system.
Haller was previously convicted of OWI in 2004 and twice in 2006.
