Thefts Reported at YMCA, Silver Spring Country Club

Menomonee Falls police responded to several thefts recently at Silver Spring Country Club and the Tri-County YMCA.

Sometime between 4:10 p.m. and 4:43 p.m. on Oct. 7, a person broke the windows of six different vehicles parked at the YMCA. The person removed from each vehicle a purse or duffel bag with credit cards, driver’s licenses, cell phones, and electronics. Police are following up to determine whether any of the cards were used to purchase items.

Then, between 8 p.m. and 10:30 a.m., a person snuck into the Silver Spring Country Club and took two golf carts from the golf course. The thief, or thieves, cut the security cables and drove off without a trace. The carts were valued at $4,000 apiece.Β
