Teen Charged Over Decade of Sexual Abuse of Younger Sister

A criminal complaint describes a series of incidents between a Menomonee Falls man and his younger sister.

Almost 10 years of sexual abuse by a Menomonee Falls teen of by her older brother are detailed in a criminal complaint filed Wednesday in Waukesha County court.

The now-19-year-old man — who is not being named here to protect the identity of his victim — faces up to 40 years in prison for possibly hundreds of acts dating to when the girl was 6 or 7 years old.

The man and his 20-year-old brother also face misdemeanor charges of intimidation after threatening the girl for speaking with authorities.

According to the complaint, the a high school principal contacted authorities in February with concerns, though the complaint does not say what tipped him off. Though at first reluctant to talk, the girl eventually described to authorities years of sexual abuse.

The defendant then continued that practice, according to the complaint, and the girl estimated it had happened about 200 times over 10 years.

When she was about 9, he would initiate physical contact, she told police. By the time the girl was 12, she estimated it happened at least a dozen times over the next three years. 

Questioned by police, the teen admitted to being sexually involved with his sister for about 10 years, and said he knew it was wrong. He said these acts would often take place between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., after their parents had gone to bed.

The 20-year-old brother was charged with intimidation after sending threatening text messages to the girl.
