The Menomonee Falls Police Department arrested a local juvenile Sunday in connection with a burglary on Countryside Road.
Police say a 14-year-old was responsible for a burglary that occurred on Dec. 30. According a report with the MFPD, the teen entered the home through an unlocked garage service door. The teen stole a laptop from the home, and allegedly attempted to open doors to several other homes along Countryside Road and Colony Road. The homeowner’s property was returned by police.
The Dec. 30 burglary was one of two that occurred on consecutive days. On Dec. 31, a suspect climbed through an unlocked condominium window on the N5500 block of Ridgewood drive and stole jewelry, cash, and gift cards. However, police do not believe the teen they have in custody was responsible for that burglary, and police are still attempting to locate a suspect.
The MFPD, as usual, reminds all residents to secure the doors and windows in their homes.
