A Target employee’s small-scale embezzlement scheme came to a crashing end earlier this week.

Sometime between Feb. 3 and Feb. 20, an employee created gift cards and kept them for himself. The teen admitted to creating the cards, and had about 20 of them in his possession. He used seven of them totaling $135. He was arrested and cited for theft.

A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was pulled over for a suspended license on Feb. 21 near Highway 41/45 and Highway 145. A search of the vehicle revealed the driver was in possession of marijuana.

Also in the reports: 

  • Police responded to home on the W15000 block of Menomonee Avenue Feb. 15 for a welfare check for an adult male. A relative said she felt the man was taking advantage his grandmother, who he shared the home with.
  • Police went to the home and found the grandmother was not being taken advantage of, but the man had three glass marijuana pipes. The pipes were discovered after a K-9 search of the home.
  • On Feb. 15, police responded to Applebee’s for reports of thefts from two vehicles that had just occurred. A pedestrian reported a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Qdoba. When police contacted the occupants of the vehicle, officers detected the smell of marijuana. They searched the vehicle and found 1.4 grams of marijuana and a glass pipe.
  • Between Valentine’s Day and Feb. 16, an unknown person broke into a vehicle parked at Applebee’s and stole a backpack containing a laptop. The total loss was estimated at $2,040.
