Target Burned by Several Recent Thefts

Retail theft was an unfortunate reality for several days at the Target in Menomonee Falls.

Pardon the pun, but Target has been the unfortunate target of several retail thefts recently.

On Sept. 8, five women worked together to steal $324.11 worth of merchandise from the store. The women stole clothing, baby formula and baby clothes. They left some of the stolen items in the parking lot, but they left in a blue Ford Taurus. However, the suspects have not been identified at this point.

On Sept. 10 and Sept. 11, a 26-year-old woman stole numerous DVDs from the store. She was caught in connection to a separate retail theft that occurred Sept. 14.

On Sept. 13, a 24-year-old Port Washington man walked into the store and stole $337.91 worth of DVDs. He simply put them in a shopping bag and walked out the door without paying. The man has been involved in other thefts at area Target stores, according to police.

On Sept. 15, police were again dispatched to the store after 23-year-old woman stole $330.92 worth of DVDs. The woman concealed the videos in a baby carrier. She had the wherewithal to remove the anti-theft wrap on the DVDs. She was caught after she attempted to steal more DVDs the following day.
