Suspect Evades Police After High-Speed Chase

Police were unable to catch a suspect driving a vehicle that was used to flee the scene of a retail theft in Germantown.

Menomonee Falls police were led on a high-speed pursuit Tuesday morning, but the suspects succeeded in getting away. 

At 12:54 a.m. Tuesday, a Falls police officer got the heads up that Germantown police were pursuing a suspect driving a minivan. The suspect driving the vehicle was involved in a retail theft that occurred in Germantown. The Falls officer picked up the pursuit along Menomonee Avenue, and took over as the lead vehicle in the chase. 

The suspect was speeding, passing through traffic signals, and turning vehicle's lights off in an attempt to elude the pursuing officers. Although police gave chase with their lights and sirens on, both we told to end the chase while it was in progress. 

The suspect continued traveling east on Mill Road and into Milwaukee. The suspect vehicle is described as a red, 2003 Dodge Caravan with the license plate 620-NGP.
