“We would like to nominate two of our young neighbors for the Neighborhood Watch Youth Award. They are Madeline and Annaliese Heim, ages 16 and 11. They are the daughters of our neighbors, Fred and Carol Heim. For the past several years, Madeline and Annaliese have taken care of feeding our pets whenever we've been on vacation or away from home. Aside from being reliable caretakers for our animals, they are both very polite and well-behaved young people, and get along with one another in the way that parents would be pleased to behold.”

With the approval of the membership, each was given a plaque recognizing their award, signed by Menomonee Falls Police Chief Anna Ruzinski and MFNW President Bill Schmitz, along with a Target gift card. The award was presented at the standing-room-only July 12 meeting of Neighborhood Watch captains by Liaison Officer Jim Kirchberger.
