Sandy's Offering Free Hair Cuts to Police Officers and Firefighters

In memory of 9/11, fire and police staff can get their hair trimmed for free on Sept. 15.

In remembrance of the 10th anniversary of 9/11, Sandy's Family Hair Designers is giving back to firefighters and police officers by offering them free hair cuts.


Free haircuts will be given to all fire and police staff on September 15 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The offer is not limited to any municipality, and all are welcome. Firefighters and police officers will need to have official identification to receive a free hair cut. Call ahead to set up an appointment.

“We would Like to pay tribute to all police officers and firefighters,” said Sandy Greaser. “We want to thank you for a job well done. We will never forget what you have done for us.”

Sandy's is located at N88 W16726 Appleton Ave and can be contacted by calling 251-1889. Their business hours hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
