Richfield Man Charged with Stealing Windows from Falls Home

Suspect faces 14 years in prison for retuning windows for store credit.

A 27-year-old Richfield man is facing charges in Waukesha County Circuit Court for allegedly stealing windows and a snow blower from a Menomonee Falls home and returning them for a store credit.

Brandon A. Larson was charged Thursday with one count of burglary of a building for stealing items from the home in the N6300 block of Parkway Drive. If convicted, he could face up to 14 years in prison and $25,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint, on Dec. 10 the owner of the home reported to Menomonee Falls police that six new windows and a snow blower had been taken from inside his garage. The owner stated his home is under renovation and a contractor is working on the home.

The complaint states Larson’s father was the contractor, however, the homeowner didn’t suspect him in the theft.

Investigators eventually tracked down the stolen windows at a Milwaukee Menard’s location, the complaint states, where Larson returned them for a $686 store credit. Still pictures of Larson were also taken by security cameras and Larson’s father identified his son in the photos.
