Psychic Allegedly Swindles Thousands from Elderly Woman

A 22-year-old man also confessed to police that he had had "enough" to drink when questioned outside McDonald's.

There was nothing in the Tarot cards, stars, crystal balls, or palms that could have foretold the financial blow an elderly Menomonee Falls woman took to her checkbook.

The 73-year-old woman’s son contacted the Menomonee Falls Police Department last week alleging that a psychic in West Bend had swindled her of more than $6,000 over the past several months. When police contacted the elderly woman, she admitted to seeing a psychic named Rita, and told police she also felt she was being taken advantage of.

According to the report, Rita works at the Psychic Boutique in West Bend. The MFPD contacted an officer in that city and requested they assist a citizen and investigate further.
