Police Investigate Bomb Threat at Hamilton

District officials say threat not considered credible at this time.

Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department officials are investigating a bomb threat at Hamilton High School.

District Spokeswoman Denise Dorn Lindberg said a threat was found in a bathroom at the high school at the end of the school day and investigators were called in to look into the threat.

Lindberg said they don’t believe the threat to be credible at this time and some people remained at the school late Friday afternoon.

Classes are expected to proceed as scheduled Monday.

If this wasn't credible as they say, and happened after school, why then did the school run a mass calling of parents and staff? Most people weren't even aware of the threat and with graduation on Saturday and school still in session, wouldn't it be wiser to not draw attention to the problem?

No it would not be wiser. Many kids were aware of this and likely told their parents. What information would the school district rather have out there? The truth, with facts presented directly to the parents, or uncontrolled rumor being spread from teen to teen?
