Police Blotter: Police Investigate Counterfeit $100 Bills
Highlights from the Menomonee Falls police reports.
A man allegedly attempted to pass a $100 counterfeit bill at the Speedway, W169N8924 Hoyt Drive, at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 17. A day earlier, , N48W13530 Hampton Road, reported a man used a fake $100 during a transaction between 4:30 and 6 p.m.
Fake $100 bills — which are bleached $5 bills reprinted to look like $100s — . Police, who believe the incidents in Menomonee Falls are related to each other, continue to investigate.

- A purse was stolen from a shopping cart at , N95W18000 Appleton Ave., at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 18.
- A total of $34.73 worth of gasoline was stolen during a drive off at , N71W13161 Appleton Ave., at 3:15 p.m. Nov. 16.
- A police officer was bit by a dog in the W15400 block of Menomonee Falls Avenue at 4 p.m. Nov. 14. The officer suffer a small puncture wound to his left leg. According to police, the quarantine paperwork was filed. The owners were ordered to obtain a village dog license within 10 days.
- Graffiti was found on the playground equipment at , N87W16171 Kenwood Blvd. Police believe the damage occurred after 6 p.m. Nov. 14. Damage is estimated at $300.
- A 54-year-old man was taken into custody for allegedly driving drunk at W156N8480 Pilgrim Road at 2 a.m. Nov. 15. The man allegedly had a BAC of .14. It would be his second drunk driving offense, according to police.
