Police Beat: Transgender Frame Thief and A Park Bench Defaced

Incidents from the Menomonee Falls police reports.

The following are recent incidents that appeared in the Menomonee Falls Police blotter.

According to records:

  • Two black male adults and two male black juveniles (one suspect was described as transgender by a witness) worked in tandem to steal six to eight pairs of designer eyeglass frames from Lenscrafters, N95W18161 Appleton Ave., at 2:46 p.m. Tuesday. Two of the suspects distracted an employee while the other two swiped the glasses.
  • A 50-year-old woman was checking up on her mother-in-law Wednesday and found her deceased in her apartment in the N6000 block of Northfield Drive. Her mother-in-law was 84 years old.
  • A Menomonee Falls Public Works Department employee reported that sometime between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday someone defaced a park bench in the gazebo. The graffiti included a depiction of male genitals and vulgar language.
  • Specialized upholstery tools were stolen sometime between May 1 and May 5 from and , which share a location at N88W16751 Appleton Ave. Thefts have occurred over the past year.
  • At 7:22 p.m. Monday, the Lannon Fire Department responded to a home in the N7000 block of Lannon Road after a man called to report his 55-year-old wife wasn’t breathing and had no pulse. The woman was transported to where she was pronounced dead. Responders found numerous pill bottles throughout the house, and the husband said they were for chronic pain. Evidence of crushed pills was also found in the house.
  • On May 7, two black females entered the liquor department of , N95W18273 County Line Rd., and attempted to steal 12 bottles of liquor. The manager of the department confronted the suspects in the parking lot and they fled through the parking lot toward . The liquor was left behind in a shopping cart.
  • Between 9 p.m. May 5 and 6:45 a.m. May 6, an unknown suspect siphoned six gallons of gasoline from a disabled automobile in the lot of , N87W17460 Main St.
  • Between 10:30 p.m. May 6 and 7 a.m. May 6, an unknown suspect used a knife to slash the tires of three vehicles parked outside the Village Green Apartment complex, W179N8652 Village Ct.
  • On May 3 at 10:59 a.m., the manager of , N83W15701 Appleton Ave., reported a suspicious person who had attempted to purchase gift cards with a Wells Fargo credit card and nameless starter checks. The man had attempted this four or five times over the past few weeks.
