Police Beat: Target the Target of Two Thefts in as Many Days

Incidents in the Menomonee Falls police reports.

The retail store, N95W17707 Shady Ln., was the target of two thefts in as many days, according to the Menomonee Falls Police Reports.

At 2:18 p.m. Tuesday, two female suspects filled a cart at the store and stole $485.08 in merchandise. The two women were involved in a similar theft at a Target in Oak Creek in November, and the MFPD is conducting a follow-up investigation.

The following day, at 8:29 p.m., an unknown white male stole video games, system accessories and Blu-Ray movies totaling $412.93. Video surveillance shows the male suspect entering an awaiting red minivan and leaving the store.

  • At 5:46 a.m. March 13, police and fire units responded to a home on the W15000 block of Jefferson Avenue for a 66-year-old man who was suffering a heart attack. The man was taken to and was pronounced dead at 6:45 a.m. Cause of death was listed as cardiac arrest.
  • At 6:34 p.m. March 14, a black male driving a green Chrysler LeBaron stole $31.93 of gasoline from the BP Corner Pump, N56W17450 Silver Spring Dr. The license plate on the vehicle was later reported stolen from a vehicle parked outside Scotty’s Beer and Liquor, N56W14108 Silver Spring Dr., between 5 p.m. and 6:34 p.m. March 14
  • A white male and white female stole approximately $10 in gasoline from North Hills Self Serve, N75W13916 Appleton Ave. The suspects were driving a silver Ford SUV.
  • A 46-year-old who lives in the N9000 block of Shady Lane told police her neighbor, and father-in-law, has repeatedly left her notes, voicemail messages, flowers, groceries and other gifts for her between December and last Tuesday. The woman said she has repeatedly told her father-in-law over the past two years to stop contacting her. The man was arrested and booked, and received a citation for harassment.
  • On Thursday, a 50-year-old man reported that a wooden pillar at his home in the N5000 block of One Mile Road appeared to have been damaged by three shots from a BB gun. Upon investigation, the damage did not appear consistent with a BB or steel bearing, and was likely caused by another unknown source. The damage to the home is estimated at $200.
  • A 23-year-old man was arrested for an OWI-first offense at 7:10 p.m Thursday at the intersection of Main Street and Rozanne Drive. The man was pulled over for speeding and showed signs of intoxication. A chemical breath test taken later at the police department indicated his BAC was 0.12.
