Police Beat: Propane Tanks Stolen, Two Gas Driveoffs and More

Incidents from the Menomonee Falls police reports.

Eight propane tanks were reported stolen from an unlocked metal cabinet at Eutectic Corp., N94W14355 Garwin Mace Dr., 4:30 a.m. Feb. 11 and 11:08 a.m. Feb. 14, according to police.

Numerous other pallets and scrap metal located at the business were not touched.

  • A 25-year-old Milwaukee man stole $82.45 worth of gasoline at 5:15 p.m. Feb. 14 from , N56W13920 Silver Spring Dr.
  • A 72-year-old Menomonee Falls man was pronounced dead in his home at 9:18 a.m.  Wednesday at on the W13000 block Brentwood Drive. The police officers and firefighters arrived to the home at 7:21 a.m. and found discovered the man was not breathing and didn’t have a pulse. The man had a history of heart issues as well as long-term dependency on alcohol.
  • Between 9:52 p.m. Feb. 14 and 9:48 p.m. Feb. 15, the restroom signs in the building at N87W17001 Garfield Dr., were forcibly removed. Officers were unable to locate the signs or additional evidence.
  • A man suspect stole $42.63 worth of gasoline at 11:24 a.m. Wednesday from Paul’s Mobil, N56W13920 Silver Spring Dr. The man was driving a white four-door Infiniti Q45T.
  • Between 3:30 p.m. and 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, a rear license plate cover was taken off of a vehicle parked in the northeast parking lot of , N88W14167 Main St.
  • A 52-year-old man was stopped for speeding at 11:42 p.m. Wednesday near Pilgrim Road and Robinhood Drive. The man failed field sobriety tests, and was arrested for first offense OWI. His preliminary blood alcohol content was 0.17.
  • At 10:44 a.m. Thursday, a man in his 40s or early 50s stole approximately $138.35 worth of groceries from Pick n’ Save, N95W18273 County Line Rd. The man put the groceries in his cart and left through the west entrance doors.
