Police Beat: Police Catch a Quartet of Kohl's Thieves

Incidents from the Menomonee Falls police reports.

Four people were arrested April 4 after stealing merchandise from Kohl’s Department Store, N95W18000 Appleton Ave.

An 18-year-old woman; a 19-year-old woman; a 19-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman (all from Milwaukee) stole $841.50 in merchandise from the store. The teen suspects were issued retail theft citations.

The 38-year-old woman’s charges were referred to the state, as she had prior offenses on her record. The woman was also cited with possession of prescription narcotics which were in an unlabeled bottle. Police also referred this charge to the state as well.

  • A high school class ring and a watch were stolen from a Honda Civic between 2 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. April 6 on the W17000 block of Appleton Avenue. The window on the vehicle was held up by duct tape. The suspect gained entry by removing the tape.
  • A 64-year-old man was arrested for a first-offense OWI at 12:43 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Appleton Avenue and River Crest Drive. The man’s BAC was 0.21.
  • Two women were arrested after they got into a fight with each other at 4:37 a.m. Friday on the W15000 block of Menomonee Avenue. Both women were arrested for domestic violence.
  • Two Milwaukee men were arrested and cited for possession of marijuana after officers conducted a traffic stop at 1:16 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Appleton Avenue and Main Street. Both men had outstanding warrants with the Shorewood Police Department. The men signed bonds for their warrants and were released.
  • A 61-year-old woman’s Ford Expedition was scratched between 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday while it was parked in the driveway of her home on the N9000 block of Grand Avenue. The woman suspects her grandson’s friend, a 23-year-old female, was responsible for the damage due to an argument the two had on Thursday.
