Police Beat: Man Threatens to Bring Chemical Weapon to Community Memorial

Incidents from the Menomonee Falls police reports.

A 46-year-old unemployed West Allis man was arrested for disorderly conduct after making threats at Community Memorial Hospital, W180N8085 Town Hall Rd.

The man sought treatment at CMH, but became upset with the treatment he eventually received. The man threatened emergency room staff and told them that they had made a “grave mistake,” and said that he would return to the hospital with  “a chemical weapon.” The man made an obscene gesture in front of multiple witnesses in the hospital and left on foot.

Falls police received a call from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department about the disorderly man, and arrested the man in the parking lot after arriving on the scene.

The man was booked, cited and later released. CMH is seeking a restraining order against the man.

  • A 68-year-old man told police Feb. 24 that he wanted to prosecute United Builders of West Allis for fraud. The man said he paid a contractor with the company $1,450 to install granite counter tops in his home in the W21000 block of Silver Spring Drive. The man attempted to contact the company numerous times by phone and in person with negative results, and believes the work will not be completed.
  • A 45-year-old man told police his debit card was stolen sometime between 5 p.m. Feb. 22 and midnight Feb. 23, and two online purchases were made. The man was able to notify the card carrier and stop shipment of the items, and will not lose money.
  • Between 12:39 p.m. and 12:53 p.m. Feb. 23, a black female filled two plastic shopping bags with merchandise and ran out the front doors of Walgreens, N56W15501 Silver Spring Dr. Employees followed her out to the parking lot where she entered a cream-colored Cadillac parked in the handicapped stall and fled. It is unknown what merchandise was stolen, or its value.
  • Falls police assisted the Germantown Police Department when a 21-year-old male became combative at 2:48 a.m. Feb 25 at Community Memorial Hospital, W180N8085 Town Hall Rd. Officers were attempting to obtain blood evidence for an existing charge. The man resisted officers and was spitting at personnel on the scene. Officers handcuffed him to the bed, and placed a spit hood over his head. Germantown officers continued their investigation without Falls police.
  • Officers were called to an underage drinking party at 11:34 p.m. Feb. 24 at a home on the N8000 block of Valley View Drive. Police issued municipal citations for underage drinkers and their parents came to pick them up.
  • A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for first-offense OWI at 2:54 a.m. Feb. 27 on Highway 41 near Main Street. A preliminary breath test indicated he had a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.165.
  • Police stopped a 29-year-old Milwaukee man for weaving and excessive speed at 3:10 p.m. Feb. 27 on Highway 41 near County Line Road. The man failed sobriety tests but passed a preliminary breath test with no signs of alcohol consumption. However, the man admitted to having an opiate addiction and multiple prescription bottles were found in the vehicle. The man was arrested for his second-offense OWI.
  • Between 10:27 p.m. Feb. 28 and 9:54 p.m. March 1, an unknown person used gold spray paint to write profanity on the north side of the building at Mill Pond Park.
