Police Beat: Man Finds a Bag Of Weed At His Storage Facility

Incidents from the Menomonee Falls Police reports.

Sometimes a prank can turn into what police call “malicious mischief,” and it's always a good idea to lock your car doors. Here are selected incidents from the Menomonee Falls Police Department.

According to reports:

  • At 10 a.m. Saturday, a 41-year-old man found a bag of marijuana inside the entrance gate to a storage facility he rents at on N60W14944 Bobolink Ave. Police attempted to locate the owner of the marijuana by checking the database of other traffic stops in the area, but there were no recent contacts in the location.
  • A 79-year-old woman told police that sometime between 4 p.m. June 2 and noon Monday, a person attempted to pry open the storage area door in the basement of her apartment building at W170N8940 Hoyt Dr. Police found fresh pry marks on door. Other neighbors told police they saw a suspicious looking man posing as a Time Warner Cable employee entering the basement just before the pry marks were discovered.
  • Between 9 p.m. May 30 and 8 a.m. May 31, an unknown person stole a GPS unit, a power cord and an iPhone charging cord from an unlocked vehicle in the driveway of a home on the N8000 block of Destiny Drive.
  • A 22-year-old woman told police that a 29-year-old man, who is the father of her child, had assaulted her. The woman said the fight occurred at 8 p.m. Saturday at his apartment on the N8000 block of Mill Street. The woman received some bruising on her left arm, and said the man damaged her vehicle while attempting to keep her from leaving the parking lot.
  • Officers found a set of keys at 5:57 p.m. Sunday at W164N9091 Water St. The key ring had keys for a Jeep and a Chevrolet, and a small bronze key. The keys also had membership cards for Pick n’ Save, the Menomonee Falls Public Libray, Hallmark Gold Crown, Petco and Toys R’ Us.
  • A 39-year-old woman found her 20-year-old stepson dead in their home in the W16000 block of Appleton Avenue at 9:04 p.m. Friday. The Menomonee Falls Fire Department responded on the scene but did not perform live-saving procedures, as it was determined he was deceased.
  • A 41-year-old woman told police that a couple of pranksters sprayed “Silly String” at 10:15 p.m. Thursday on the front door of her house in the W16000 block of Pershing Avenue. The woman said the string caused damage to paint. According to the woman’s 15-year-old daughter, two of her classmates may have been involved.
