Police Beat: Man Arrested For Concealed Carry

A 51-year-old Menomonee Falls man was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and possessing a firearm while intoxicated at 8:30 p.m. June 14 at Nordberg Farm, N50W20683 Lisbon Rd.

The man admitted to having consumed alcohol and concealing a pistol in a shoulder bag after police made contact with him at his residence. A witness reported seeing the man place the weapon in the black shoulder bag.

A 34-year-old Menomonee Falls man might have been using some self-prescribed alternative medication while receiving unemployment compensation from the state.

Menomonee Falls police officers found drug paraphernalia while conducting a welfare check at his residence along County Line Road at 10:16 p.m. Thursday.

Police transported him to the station for booking and conveyed him back to his home later. He was given a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia, but the man’s troubles don’t stop there.

The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development filed an unemployment compensation civil claim against the man June 6 for $6,939 through the Waukesha County Circuit Court, according to online court records.

  • Between 11 p.m. June 8 and 1:15 p.m. June 14, the basement door of the old farmhouse on a property along the N6000 block of Town Line Road was damaged and forced open. The resident suspected neighborhood teens had caused the damage.
  • An unknown suspect stole an acoustic guitar from the store at 5:42 p.m. Thursday. A store attendant said she saw the suspect unlocking exterior doors to the store before stealing the guitar from a display case.
  • A 24-year-old Menomonee Falls man was given a municipal citation for illegal burning for a bonfire he had Saturday at his home in the N9000 block of Falls Avenue. His neighbor called police Sunday because he found several plants that were browning. The neighbor told police it looked like lighter fluid had been poured on them.
  • Between 11 a.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday, an unknown suspect stole two auto ramps from a transport trailer parked in the rear service lot of , N88W14167 Main St.
  • A 64-year-old Menomonee Falls man had his wallet and locker key stolen between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Friday at the , N84W17501 Menomonee Ave. The YMCA will attempt to identify the suspect.
  • An unidentified man stole $64.74 worth of gasoline at 11:03 a.m. June 14 from the Clark gas station, N56W15654 Silver Spring Dr.
  • At 8:06 p.m. June 14, an unknown suspect used a blunt object to smash the side window of an 82-year-old man’s garage in the W16000 block of Ann Avenue. Blood evidence was found on the window frame. Nothing was stolen from the garage.
