Police Beat: Drunk Driver With BAC Over Four Times the Legal Limit

The latest from the Menomonee Falls police reports.

A 43-year-old Milwaukee man whose blood alcohol content was more than four times the legal limit was arrested for drunken driving Tuesday.

Officers were dispatched for a report of an erratic driver traveling east on Silver Spring Road. Police stopped the man’s vehicle at 8:55 p.m. for suspended registration at Town Line Road and Silver Spring Drive.

The man was arrested for his first offense OWI, and an Intoximeter result indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.34.

  • At 1:06 p.m. Sunday, an 80-year-old man passed away in his home on the N5000 block of Badger Road. The man’s wife called police because he had collapsed into a chair and wasn’t breathing. The man was transported to Community Memorial Hospital, but they were unable to revive him. No foul play was suspected, and the man had a long history of medical problems.
  • An 88-year-old man passed away between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Northfield Manor, W128N6900 Northfield Dr. A medical expert detrmined that the man had passed away due to an extensive history of medical problems.
  • A heavy truck license plate was found on the W16000 block of Richfield Way at 4:59 p.m. Wednesday.
