Police Beat: An Elderly Man Walks From Milwaukee to Menomonee Falls

Incidents from the Menomonee Falls police reports.

An elderly Milwaukee man left a senior housing facility in Milwaukee for a walk, which lasted through the night.

On Thursday, the received a call from a passer-by who was concerned for the welfare of the man. He was walking along Pilgrim Road near Cleveland Avenue. The man was listed as a missing person from the Agape Senior Support Services group home at 4035 68th Street in Milwaukee.

Police found the man in good health and did not require medical attention. However, the man told employees at Agape that he was going for a walk the prior evening and didn’t return. The MFPD transported the man back to the group home at the request of an employee.

  • Sometime between noon Dec. 31 and noon Tuesday, two deer stands and a trail camera were reported stolen from . The items were later located on the far east side of the woods between the golf course and the campus. The man’s trail camera snapped a photo of a possible suspect on Dec. 31. The victim believes the thief may be an employee of David J. Frank Landscaping, who removes the snow from Wells Fargo.
  • Between 12:45 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. Monday, a 30-year-old man said his disabled placard was stolen from his locked vehicle in the parking lot at the . There was no sign of forced entry, but he couldn’t find the placard anywhere in the vehicle.
  • Between 3 p.m. Dec. 31 and 5 p.m. Jan. 1, an unknown suspect stole a trailer from O.H. Ewert Inc., N92W17524 Appleton Ave. Video surveillance will be obtained from Wittlins.
