Police Beat: A Smash and Grab and Stolen Scrap Metal

Incidents from the Menomonee Falls police reports.

A suspect smashed the window of a 41-year-old Slinger woman’s vehicle at 11 a.m. Nov. 6 while it was parked at the YMCA, N84W17501 Menomonee Ave. The suspect stole the woman’s purse, which was between the front seats.

Also in the reports:

  • At 6:25 p.m. Nov. 9, a person pumped $40.23 worth of gasoline from Speedway, N87W17245 Main St. The person left in a green Chevrolet Monte Carlo with the license plate “318-SMV.”
  • At 6:27 a.m. the Menomonee Falls Fire Department responded to a home on the W17000 block of Robin Circle for a 102-year-old woman who passed away in her home. The woman had started hospice care two days prior.
  • Between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Nov. 8, an unknown suspect stole scrap metal and old power equipment from a trailer in the driveway of a home on the N9000 block of Highway 145. The scrap metal was worth approximately $100.
  • A Milwaukee man received a municipal citation after sending his ex-girlfriend numerous emails, calls and flowers in October, which was in violation of his harassment order/injunction with her. He was cited for violating his injunction.
  • Police placed a lost bicycle into inventory a 2:39 p.m. Nov. 8. A resident found the bike on the W17000 block of Ann Avenue, and called police. The bike is a medium sized, 7-gear, purple Mongoose Amethyst with front shocks.
  • A resident reported an abandoned vehicle at 1:41 p.m. Nov. 8 on the W13000 block of Leon Road. The 29-year-old woman said the vehicle had not been moved for at least two weeks. All attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful.
  • A 37-year-old Menomonee Falls man was arrested for disorderly conduct after getting into a fight with his wife at 7:59 p.m. Nov. 7 in a home on the W17000 block of Apple Tree Court. The man had a “no violent contact” order from a previous incident with his wife. The man had been on bail for a past domestic violence arrest, and was also charged with bail jumping.
