Police Beat: A Dog Bite, and A Prescription Thief

Recent incidents from the Menomonee Falls Police Department.

According to reports:

  • At 6:22 p.m. May 25, a driver called police to report an intoxicated man driving from Germantown to his address on the W15000 block of Kings Highway. The 48-year-old man nearly struck vehicles and side walls while driving. Police arrived at the man’s home and he was still in his vehicle. He was arrested and cited for first offense OWI. He has a blood-alcohol level of 0.23.
  • At 4:16 p.m. May 25, a 50-year-old woman reported that she was bit by a dog while biking home from work along the W16000 block of Menomonee Avenue. The dog left the property and bit her right ankle. The owner, 44-year-old Waukesha woman, was issued an animal at large citation.
  • At 6:19 p.m. May 23, a man attempted to steal $12.45 of merchandise from Walgreens, N83W15701 Appleton Ave. The store manager caught the man, and police arrested and booked him for shoplifting.
  • At 9:34 a.m. May 24, a woman turned in property that she found the prior day at Speedway, N87W17245 Main St. The property included two folded $10 bills and a gift certificate for a $75 U.S. Savings Bond. Her “Great-Grandma Lori” gave the bond to the person.
  • On May 22 at 2:49 p.m. a person driving a white Pontiac Bonneville stole $63.18 worth of gasoline from Marathon gas station, N48W14738 Lisbon Rd.
  • A 57-year-old Greendale man reported prescription fraud at 6:05 p.m. May 20 at Walgreens, N83W15701 Appleton Ave. According to the police report, an unknown person obtained the man’s Oxycodone prescription without permission.
  • At 4:16 p.m. May 22, a 30-year-old woman was charged with possession of marijuana after police stopped her at the intersection of Woodland Drive and Terrace Drive. The woman admitted to smoking marijuana within 30 minutes of the traffic stop. She failed a field sobriety test and was transported to Community Memorial Hospital for a blood draw.
