Phone Plus Alcohol Equals Bail Jumping

Police arrest a man for bail jumping after he allegedly called Community Memorial Hospital and threatened a hospital security officer.

Sometimes we say regrettable things when we mix phones and alcohol. On Saturday, a 58-year-old man added the two together, and the results were almost arithmetic.

A Community Memorial Hospital nurse reported the man to police at 8:46 p.m. Saturday after he called the hospital and made threats about a CMH security officer. The man believed the officer had previously reported him to police for a different incident. The nurse said he threatened to kill the officer.

When police contacted the man, he did not admit to threatening the guard. However, he was consuming alcohol in violation of his bail and was arrested for felony bail jumping.

Police drove him to CMH, the hospital he had just called, for medical clearance. The next stop was Waukesha County Jail.
