A 34-year-old Menomonee Falls man is facing felony charges after he was caught with painkillers while police were looking for him in connection for recent scrap metal thefts in the area.

According to the criminal complaint, a Menomonee Falls police officer spotted Jason M. Breidenbach driving near Campbell Drive and Woodale Drive Saturday and recognized him as someone suspected in recent scrap metal thefts and pulled him over. While searching Breidenbach, the officer noticed he had an Oxycodone pill and Percocet on him.

Breidenbach told officers he had a prescription for one of the pills and bought the other off the streets, however, after he found out he was facing felony charges, he said he wished he had swallowed both when he was pulled over.
