Man Charged With Beating Ex's Car in Falls Neighborhood

Suspect told police he was upset because the victim's new boyfriend is on bad terms with him.

A 25-year-old West Bend man is facing charges after he allegedly blocked his ex-girlfriend’s car in a Menomonee Falls neighborhood and began punching the hood because he was upset she had a new boyfriend.

Tyler A. Breunig was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Friday with one count of criminal damage to property domestic abuse and one count of disorderly conduct domestic abuse. If convicted, he faces up to one year in prison and $11,000 in fines.

On Oct. 6 the victim was trying to pull out of a driveway in the W15200 block of Jefferson Avenue, when Breunig jumped in front of her car and began punching the hood, and then punched out the rear passenger side window.

He then ran from the scene and the victim called police.

Breunig admitted the incident to police, telling them he was upset because he’s on bad terms with his ex’s new boyfriend.

He will make his initial appearance in court Nov. 30.
