Man Charged After Picking Up His Wife With 3 Kids, Marijuana and Crack in Tow
Suspect ran from police because he thought he had warrants out for his arrest.
A 24-year-old Milwaukee man is facing charges after he was arrested in Menomonee Falls after going to pick up his wife from work with marijuana, crack cocaine, and three small children with him.
Henry Handy was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of obstructing an officer and one count of possession of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. If convicted, he faces up to 15 months in prison and $11,000 in fines.

Handy was driving on Appleton Avenue Tuesday afternoon when a Menomonee Falls police officer noticed the license plates on his SUV were suspended due to unpaid parking tickets. He followed Handy until he pulled into the parking lot of and parked his truck.
The officer then parked behind him and turned on his emergency lights, which caused Handy to flee on foot, running across Pilgrim Road toward Apple Valley Drive. The officer lost sight of Handy and went back to McDonald’s to secure Handy’s SUV, but shortly thereafter saw him come out of a nearby building.

Handy was eventually chased down and arrested by police.
Police found the three small children in the SUV along with marijuana and crack. Handy told police he had just purchased the drugs from a dealer in Waukesha and was on his way to pick his wife up from work and ran from police because he thought he had warrants out for his arrest.
Handy is currently being held in Waukesha County Jail on $500 cash bond.
