Loud Motorcycle Lands Falls Man Fifth OWI Charge
A West Allis police officer tries to pull over the suspect after hearing his loud bike, but the man refuses to stop until reaching a red light on Greenfield Avenue.
Harley Davidson owners often say “loud pipes save lives,” and they may be right after a loud motorcycle ridden by a Menomonee Falls man led police to him while he was driving drunk in West Allis.
Ronald W. Jensen, 50, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Saturday with one count of fifth offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, he faces up to six years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

On Saturday, a West Allis police officer was parked near South 81st Street and Greenfield Avenue, and heard a motorcycle loudly revving its engine in the parking lot of Paulie’s Pub. He then saw Jensen on the loud motorcycle, then watched as he pulled out of the lot and onto Greenfield Avenue while almost losing control of the bike. He then accelerated to 50 miles per hour in 30 mph speed zone.
The officer followed Jensen to pull him over, but he continued driving, nearly hitting another car travelling westbound. Eventually he stopped at a red light at South 84th Street, and the officer pulled next to him and ordered him to stop the motorcycle, however, Jensen was unable to shut it off.

The officer then shut the motorcycle off for him and asked why Jensen had been revving the engine so loudly. The officer noticed Jensen smelled of alcohol and Jensen said he had a few beers at the Wisconsin State Fair.
Jensen failed field sobriety tests and was then arrested and taken to the hospital for a blood test.
He was previously convicted of OWI in 1990, 1991, 1993 and 2005. He’s currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail on $500 bond while awaiting trial.
