Teen Allegedly Shoots Child With Pellet Gun, Holds Knife to His Throat

Suspect tells police he got upset when the child laughed at his little brother, but denies shooting or holding a knife to the victim.

After laughing at an 18-year-old Lannon teen's brother, a humored onlooker got a taste of instant karma. However, no one left the incident laughing after a violent situation erupted.

The teenager is facing charges after he allegedly struck  a boy with a pellet gun, then held a knife to his throat because he thought the victim was laughing at his brother’s pain.

Robert M. Buehner was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Friday with one count of negligent handling of a weapon and one count of disorderly conduct with use of a dangerous weapon. If convicted, he faces up to one year in prison and $11,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

The victim was at Buehner’s home in the 7300 block of North Lake Street where Buehner was pulling his younger brother in a wagon and making sharp turns, causing it to turn over. Buehner’s brother fell out of the wagon and suffered lacerations and the victim laughed at the incident.

Buehner then picked up a pellet gun and struck the boy 20 to 30 times, which made the boy cry and Buehner began making fun of him. The boy called Buehner “a fag,” so Buehner got angry and pulled out a knife and held it to the boy’s throat.

Buehner’s mother then saw the incident and told him to put the knife away. The victim said Buehner then slapped him across the face, so he ran away crying.

The victim’s mother then called police when went to the home and Buehner denied holding a knife on the victim or shooting him with a pellet gun. He said the victim was laughing at his younger brother getting hurt, so he yelled at him.

He’s currently free on a $1,000 signature bond while awaiting trial.
