If Red Bull gives you wings, then this suspected thief was looking for enough to fuel a trans-Atlantic flight.
On Oct. 10, a manager observed some suspicious behavior amidst the fruits and vegetables in the produce section of Pick 'n Save on County Line Road. The manager discovered a cart filled with cartons of Red Bull. The manager collected the cart, which scared a man and two women from the store.
However, surveillance tapes revealed the trio had already stolen 25 cases of Red Bull and two packs of Dasani water prior to loading up again. A manager estimated the man stole roughly $174 worth of the energy drink. Store security personnel were able to identify the man, a 47-year-old, who they know has been involved in at least 13 other similar incidents at Pick 'n Saves throughout Milwaukee and Waukesha counties.
Eight days later, the same man was again caught attempting to steal 25 cases of Red Bull, but at the Super Pick 'n Save on Appleton Avenue. This time, an employee stopped the man outside the store; however, the man said the Red Bull wasn’t his fled the scene.
Police are continuing to follow up on the case to bring the suspect into custody.
