Homeless Man Charged with Stealing Cash From Concession Stand at North Junior High School
Suspect, 24, stole money from a concession stand during an adult basketball league in April.
A homeless man is facing charges after he allegedly stole $700 from a concession stand atduring an adult league basketball game.
William McCune, 24, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Monday with one count of misdemeanor theft. If convicted, he faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint, on April 30, McCune was standing in front of the concession stand and when a woman working there turned around to clean up spilled nacho cheese sauce, he took the money out of a cash box sitting on the table.

Although the stand usually has small amounts of money to make change for those buying food or beverages, there was $700 in the box at the time of the theft because two of the basketball teams had just paid registration fees.
Police were initially unable to find McCune because he had been recently evicted from his last known residence. Β
