Heroin Overdose Death Under Investigation in Menomonee Falls

The Menomonee Falls Police Department is investigating a heroin overdose death of a young Menomonee Falls man who was found dead in his bedroom on May 21.

Joseph Pusa, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene after he was found by his mother at 2:26 p.m. An autopsy indicated the cause of death was heroin intoxication, according to a search warrant affidavit.

Menomonee Falls police officers located drug paraphernalia associated with heroin use, the search warrant states. The police department is seeking evidence that could lead them to Pusa’s heroin supplier.

A woman who knew Pusa arranged the purchase of heroin between Pusa and a heroin dealer in Milwaukee, the complaint states, and the police department is looking further into their actions on May 20.Β
