Greenfield Police Bust Drug Sales At Milwaukee Motel

Police say a Greenfield police officer busted a Milwaukee man selling heroin out of a motel room in Milwaukee while working on a different investigation.

A 54-year-old Milwaukee man is accused of selling heroin out of a motel room and telling a Greenfield police officer he’s a dealer who “gives a damn.”

Michael Ray King was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court on Thursday with one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. If convicted, he faces up to 7 ½ years in prison and $25,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

On Dec. 29, a Greenfield police officer was investigating an incident when he learned a man was selling heroin out of a room at the Roadway Inn, 4400 S. 27th St.

The officer watched the motel as a woman went and purchased drugs from the room, then pulled her over as she left the parking lot. She was in possession of heroin she said was purchased from a man named Mike at the motel.

The officer had the motel clerk ask King to come to the desk and settle his bill, but King never showed up. The officer was concerned King fled, so he went to the room to make sure no one went inside.

The officer was concerned someone might be inside the room destroying evidence, so he got a key and entered and found King inside along with a small amount of heroin and paraphernalia.

King said he doesn’t use heroin, but he just gave some to a woman so she wouldn’t get sick. King also said he’s a dealer who “gives a damn,” and provides clean needles to customers.

King was assigned a $750 signature bond while awaiting trial.

Every street and thing that happens is "food for negative fodder" from you. Not once have I ever read a decent positive comment from you. Does not matter what part of the city we are talking about, or any topic for that matter. Lighten up!

After going through hell, and still on the trip, don't ever think your children aren't within inches of heroin. It's EVERYWHERE!! I've watched my stepson, who was an intelligent, VERY hardworking, outgoing kid, turn into a lying, theiving basket case, who's still rolling down the hill to Hell after 5 years and multiple rehabs and jail stints. For what it matters he's a Greenfield HS graduate with a 3.2 GPA

I agree with you. Drugs are everywhere and available. I have a drug dealer living across the street from me. Just was arrested again. However, the sentence he received just two years ago was a slap on the wrist. That sentence did not deter him. Only by chance was he caught and arrested again. Will he receive another slap on the wrist? Who knows, but unfortunately the people buying and using the drugs are the ones who suffer along with their families. He and the other two felons who live there have been selling for years. And guess what JustME, I don't live on 27th Street. And I don't think my street is Lovely or Wonderful either. Could be the same street you live on. How about that. Next time make a statement that counts. Your stupidity is showing.
