Fire Department Lights Up Speedway Station Thursday

Two girls, parked-in by a fire engine for 15 minutes, were the only ones inconvenienced Thursday at the Speedway Station after firefighters responded to a call at the station.

At first glance, the choice of headline could definitely be taken in two ways. But if emergency lights are the only thing visible at a fire, it's going to be a good day.

At roughly 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Menomonee Falls firefighters were sent to Speedway gas station on Shady Lane and Main Street after an employee allegedly reported a strange smell.

Firefighters made a lot of noise as they drove to the scene, but the whole unit left before 9 p.m.

However, not everyone made it out immediately. A two girls were parked-in by a fire engine for about 15 minutes. An astute passer-by observed their situation while Patch recorded from the scene in this video.
