Falls Remembers 9/11

A remembrance ceremony was held prior to the opening of the annual Safety Fair Saturday at Menomonee Falls High School.

The Menomonee Falls police and fire departments held a solemn ceremony Saturday morning to remember the tenth anniversary of 9/11.

The ceremony was held in conjunction with the annual Safety Fair, which kicked off immediately following the ceremony. MFPD Chief Anna Ruzinski saing the National Anthem, and spoke during the ceremony.

The Highland Bagpipers, and a choir assembled of members of various Menomonee Falls churches provided the music.

Although it's been 10 years since the last attack on American soil, Ruzinksi said it's of the upmost importance to remain vigilant in protecting communities across the country. The ceremony was held to remember 9/11, but also honor the public servants in Falls and the country who protect the well being of Americans.

The choir saing "America the Beautiful" during the ceremony. The video includes pictures from the ceremony itself, as well as firefighters and police officers in action from earlier this year.
