Falls Man Spits on Officer After Noise Complaint

A 59-year-old man quickly turned up the "volume" on a routine noise complaint Monday by turning a simple citation into a felony charge, police say.

A Menomonee Falls resident showed police officers how one can quickly turn up the “volume” on a routine noise complaint.

At roughly 10:41 p.m. Monday, Falls police received an anonymous noise complaint regarding loud music at a residence on the W16000 block of Roger Avenue. Officers heard loud music coming from a 59-year-old man’s residence, and asked him to turn down the music.

Instead of turning down his music, the man decided to turn up his own voice.

The man refused to turn down his music and began yelling outside his home creating a “public disturbance,” according to reports. Police then arrested the man. However, during the booking process the man also decided to spit on an officer, the report states.

The man was booked, cited for disorderly conduct. He also now faces a felony charge for discharging bodily fluid on a public safety worker.
