A Menomonee Falls man is facing charges after he was caught by police trying to meet up with what he thought was a 14-year-old girl for sex.

On Jan. 2, an undercover police officer found an ad on Craigslist posted by Prudhomme looking for a young girl to have sex with. The officer created a persona of a 14-year-old girl and sent him a message, which Prudhomme responded to within minutes.

He told the girl he wanted to meet up at a movie theater and perform sexual acts with her under a coat in a theater so no one would notice around them.

On Jan. 11 police arranged a meeting with Prudhomme at an area Starbucks, but he never showed. Two days later they scheduled another meeting, but Prudhomme again failed to show up.

Finally, he contacted the officer again on Jan. 29 and wanted to meet up at the coffee shop. He showed up with three condoms in his jacket and was immediately arrested by police.

Officers then served a search warrant at Prudhomme’s house where they informed his wife of the ad - and arrest.

Prudhomme is free on $10,000 bond while awaiting trial.
