A 20-year-old Menomonee Falls man is facing multiple charges for allegedly stealing hundreds of dollars from his father and trying to pose as him at area banks.

On Feb. 3 Blaser’s father discovered money missing from his bank account and two checks missing out of two different check books, one of which made out with a forged signature and another cashed at a Walmart in Germantown. He also discovered a withdrawl had been made from a money market account from a Brookfield branch of his bank.

After obtaining a photo of the person withdrawing the money Blaser was identified by his father.

On Feb. 5, Blaser went to a Menomonee Falls bank and tried to withdraw $500, however, the teller noticed an age discrepancy between Blaser and the account holder and he soon left after being questioned about the difference. Later that day, Blaser was successful in withdrawing $400 from another Menomonee Falls branch of the bank.

On Feb. 8 officers questioned Blaser about the withdrawals, who then admitted to taking the money in order to support himself. Blaser will make his initial appearance in court June 1.
