Knocking Three Times Is Plenty, But An Hour?

Suspect was drunk while on parole and knocked on his friend's apartment door and windows for an hour.

A 24-year-old Menomonee Falls man is facing charges after he allegedly was knocking on the doors and windows of a Butler apartment for more than an hour early Wednesday morning.

According to the criminal complaint, police were called to an apartment complex at 3:13 a.m. Wednesday after Paul M. Gitzlaff was knocking on the doors and windows of an apartment in the 12800 block of West Hampton Avenue. Gitzlaff, who was extremely drunk at the time, told the officer he was trying to get a hold of his friend who lives in the apartment.

However, the officer discovered Gitzlaff is on probation which forbids him from drinking. He was told he was under arrest, but Gitzlaff then began to resist the officer and was eventually taken to the ground.
