On Feb. 29, Veleke was staying with his aunt in the W16100 block of Scott Lane when she spotted a large amount of drug paraphernalia in his dresser drawer, so she contacted police. Officers found syringes, alcohol wipes and small cooking pots used for taking drugs.

Veleke admitted the items were his saying he hid them in the basement ceiling before going to jail in December 2010 and he decided to take them out and keep them close in order to “comfort him.”
