Falls Man Faces 10 Years in Prison For Selling Marijuana
Suspect sold high-grade marijuana to a police informant on two occasions, and was busted on a third buy.
An alleged drug dealer is facing big fines and prison time for selling a total of 3-1/2 ounces of marijuana worth less than $1,000 to a police informant.
A 22-year-old Menomonee Falls man is facing charges after he allegedly sold high grade marijuana on three separate occasions to a Milwaukee Police Department informant.
Venkatateet Koka was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Friday with three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. If convicted, he faces up to 10 ½ years in prison and $30,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:
The informant had Koka sell him 1 ounce of high grade marijuana on April 19 in the parking lot of a business in the 2900 block of North Oakland Avenue for $275. The deal took place under police surveillance and the informant set up another deal May 3 where Koka sold a half ounce of marijuana for $170.

A third deal for 2 ounces of marijuana was set up at the same business on May 3; however, when Koka arrived he was arrested by police officers.
He admitted to selling the drugs, saying he has sold marijuana for about a year and has no problem moving a quarter pound of the drug in a two to three week period.
He will make his initial appearance in court Aug. 24.
