Falls Man Accused of Passing Bad Checks at an Area Gas Station
Suspect passed five bad checks at a Clark station and has yet to pay back for the goods.
A 44-year-old Menomonee Falls man is facing charges after he allegedly passed five bad checks at an area gas station during a three day period.
Dennis A. Westrich was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Thursday with five counts of issuance of a worthless check. If convicted, he faces up to 45 months in prison and $50,000 in fines.

On March 28, Westrich went to the Clark gas station, N56W15654 Silver Spring Drive and purchased $82.4 in goods with a personal check. He came back March 30 to make three more transactions where he purchased $119.87 the first time, $96.52 the second time and $48.49 the third time.
Westrich came back the next day and purchased another $68.60 in goods and once again paid with a check.

All of the checks were later returned to the business as bad. A letter was sent to Westrich on April 17 seeking restitution, but he never responded.
He will make his initial appearance in court July 9.
