Falls Man, 36, Faces 6th OWI Charge

A 36-year-old Menomonee Falls man is accused of driving drunk for the sixth time after being pulled over for an equipment violation at Main Street and Shady Lane.

Gregory M. Strassburg faces up to three years in prison and $10,000 in fines if convicted. He was released from jail on $2,500 bail Friday after being charged Thursday in Waukesha County Circuit Court.

Strassburg had glassy, red-shot eyes and his speech was slurred when he was pulled over at 2:02 a.m. Wednesday in Menomonee Falls. He admitted to drinking a few beers before driving, according to the criminal complaint.

Strassburg failed his field sobriety tests and his blood was sent to the state lab for analysis. However, his preliminary breath test showed he had a .207 percent blood alcohol concentration at the time of his arrest, according to the complaint.

Strassburg was previously convicted of driving drunk in May 1995, July 1995, November 1996, September 2000 and November 2001, the complaint states.
